I am Edom Alemu

Ethiopian-born, Spain-based, German Artist who is also a female leader & a coach in the Tech Industry, pushing boundaries and reimagining what is possible.  

Despite my busy career in the tech industry, I have never lost my passion for art. In 2018 I felt inspired to pick up the brush again, to share Happiness and Joy with the world. Intuitive artwork is about tapping into the essence of what wants to manifest, trusting the process and knowing how it starts is never how it finishes. The painting knows its journey.

I hope to inspire others to connect with their inner selves. I believe art has the power to transform our life, inspire, uplift, and bring people together. I strive to create work that reflects these values. Whether painting figuratively, drawing, or creating abstract pieces that explore life's beautification, my art is always infused with Love and a sense of hope and optimism.

 To me, the act of painting is what the Greeks refer to as MERAKI (Labor of Love, putting your soul into something), doing something with passion, absolute devotion and undivided attention. The mission of my creation is to inspire and uplift others, and I put my heart and soul into each piece I create.

My compositions occupy a space between the figurative and the abstract, where forms simultaneously disappear and emerge. It is all about capturing the subject's essence, evoking the viewer's emotion. I draw inspiration from the world around me. My art is characterized by bold colours, intricate details, and a deep sense of emotion that hopefully resonates with the viewers.

The name EDOM means RED. All my paintings have the RED THREAD attached to the back to keep the positive energy circulating wherever this painting might be. This magical cord may stretch or tangle but never break - the colour red in Chinese culture symbolizes happiness. The cord connects the energy of Love and Joy during every creation process and beyond through time and space.
